Simone Vera Bath.
Where did you grow up?
What do you love about jewellery?
It’s art /sculptures which you can wear and take with you the whole time.
When did you discover your love for jewellery?
When i was a small child. I undid radios or other electronic devices and with the small pieces inside I created brooches. I coloured them and gifted it to my family members.
How did you become a jewellery designer?
When I went to Italy in 1989, right after the Berlin wall came down, I thought about my recent art history studies but also loved the design and future, modern issues, so I brought them together by creating jewellery. The result was contemporary jewellery; modern design with an ancient impact.
Describe your style, what is most characteristic about Simone Vera Bath's jewellery design?
A special smearing technique that gives the brand something special that is warm, skinlike and like I said before, as it if came from long time ago.
Which music genre describes your jewellery best?
Kate Bush, Craig Armstrong, Sakamoto, spiritual and warm.
What is your favourite of your own jewellery?
Which exciting things are coming up for your jewellery line? New lines planned?
In the Studio
How does a typical day at work look like?
Half a day at the bench, half a day cruising arround in the center of rome with my motorcycle to meet the people who do the fusion, or the stonesetter or buy stones / metal, or all together.
Where does Simone Vera Bath draw her inspiration from?
My inspiration comes from fantasy and science fiction movies, art and exhibitions, my art history studies, voyaging, nature.

What's your favourite city?
I love travelling, so many:Tokyo, Berlin (my hometown), Florence, New York .. each town and place has something special.

My ring, the FEDONE.
