How to Find the Perfect Wedding Gown - by Jen

"They say that a bride will know if it’s the perfect wedding dress once she gets that magical feeling.

I didn’t understand what they meant until I found THE dress – my perfect wedding dress. I got that tingly feeling and boost of confidence. I knew that I would look beautiful in our wedding day.

Let me be honest with you, finding the perfect wedding dress is not easy at all!  It is extremely exhausting BUT totally worth it. It’s exhausting because the variety of wedding dresses a bride could possibly try is overwhelming! Fitting gowns is also physically tiring because they are heavy and hard to get into. You have to be extra careful when fitting because you wouldn’t want to pay for that expensive gown when it gets damaged. I tried at least ten wedding gowns before I found the perfect one! It didn’t matter how much I’ve prepared because those photos I’ve saved in Pinterest and pages I’ve bookmarked in bridal magazines didn’t compliment my figure. It was through trying each gown that I learned which style is flattering for me.

I’m grateful for my Maid-of-Honor because she found my wedding dress. It was one of the items in the clearance rack because there was only one size left. Maybe it was sheer luck or the wedding dress was really meant for me because only few adjustments were needed and the discount kept it into our budget. It also matched the theme of our wedding – rustic fairytale.  It was simple yet beautiful. The owner of the bridal boutique also found a lace veil that matched my beautiful gown.

As I’ve mentioned, the search for the perfect wedding dress was worth it even though the process was stressful. Our families and friends loved it. Most importantly, my husband loved it. He couldn’t stop gushing about how beautiful I (and my wedding dress) looked during our wedding day."
